Like in the “think about it for a few extra days” way, not in the literal sense. In any other dating scenario, you might be eager to jump in bed with your crush a week after meeting, but in this case, do not rush. Get to know the new guy as a friend before you two cross the line. Not only will this ensure you’re only crossing said line for someone who may actually be worth it, but you’ll also know a bit more about his integrity, which will probably make you feel more comfortable as you two enter into a delicate situation.
Get real about the aftermath. If things don’t work out and there’s a messy breakup, are you prepared to still see or interact with this person every day? She looks around my age and I really find her attractive. I haven’t been able to have a conversation alone with her yet. The only time we spoke was with another female co worker present. For some reason I was too shy to talk to her directly. However I did notice that she starred at me directly the whole time until I found the nerve to ask her if she got the hang of her job yet.
The only sign I have to go by is the constant subtle stares she gives me almost every time I walk in the office to ask someone a question. I know staring is a force of habit when a door opens and someone walks in. Only the way she does it is she will look initially when I walk in but a I am walking back out I will catch give me another look all the time. I’ve also noticed her staring at me in the lunch room while I was talking to one of my work buddies about sports. One day she was in the cubical net door to my buddy and I saw her laugh and smile silently as I made a joke.
My last question is how can I tell if she is single without asking around. I over heard her on the phone one day called someone hunny.
Dating a coworker; should I tell my boss?
Because I have a crush on a married coworker. It’s been escalating for a few weeks. However indiscreet it is, talking about someone else is not a crime at work or outside of work.
Your question suggests that you think your boss should not have disclosed to others a problem you were having with another coworker. You are displeased about and embarrassed about that. Or, it could be that your boss was discussing an issue she your boss and you had. I think you sense it is not good bossing to gossip about issues she or you are having with others. It could be that your boss was venting her frustration and doing so loudly so that these matters might be corrected. If so, that could be why she spoke openly about the problem she and you had with another coworker.
What will you do about this? Allow it to fester? Let it create bitterness toward your boss?
